MONTESSORI THE GREAT LESSONS : The Cosmic Dance

The Story of The Universe

The remnants of Supernova N49 (NASA, Chandra, 11/29/2006). What's left after a star explodes.

The Cosmic Dance of the Elements

The heat that the sun gives us from
all those millions of miles away is heat that
it cannot keep for itself. The surface particles
of the sun, like those of the earth when it, too
was a flaming mass, are doing the double task
of carrying away heat and bringing cold.

Heat

Coldness

Evaporation

How marvelous it is, and how simple is the
law God has made! if you become hot you
expand, and as you expand you become
lighter and soar upwards, like a bubble
of air in water. But if you become cold,
you shrink and fall downward, as a grain
of sand sinks to bottom of a pond.
