GARDEN FLOWERS : Pansy



Pansy

The flowers of the Pansy have five petals 
with a velvet-like feel. They can be many
different shades and usually have dark
 middles. This plant is commonly
 grown in hanging baskets. Some 
varieties flower in the winter.



Camellia

 The flowers of the Camellia are cup-shaped 
and can also be red or white. Frost can
damage them. The shrub has glossy, 
dark leaves and is evergreen.



Forsythia

  This plant has star-shaped flowers in
 clusters. Long, toothed leaves 
appear after the flowers.


Mock Orange

  This is a large, woody shrub with 
small cup-shaped flowers. It smells 
sweetly and the petals drop easily.


Dahlia

These flowers are globe-shaped,
formed by rings of petals with a dark
 middle. They are used in borders and 
there are lots of different types.
