MONTESSORI HISTORY : Story of Egyptian Shelter

 CIVILIZATION

Egyptian Shelter

The Egyptians used sun-dried mud bricks
to build their houses. They were usually one
story high, one room wide, and included
a basement and four rooms. Wealthy people
had houses with many rooms, gardens and high
walls surrounding the home for privacy. Stairs
led to flat rooftops so that the family could
enjoy the cool night air after the sun went down.
