Re (Ra)
Re, also called Ra, was the great sun god of
Egyptians. His cult center was at Heliopolis
and the cult reached its peak in the 5th
dynasty, when the "king became known as
the "Son of Re". Re was king and father
of the gods and the creator of mankind.
