Capsule

 The capsul is a dry, dehiscent fruit.
The dehiscent capsule usually has
many seeds. The capsule is composed
of two or more carpels. The carpels
open to disperse the seeds.

Latin : capsula - a little box. 


Follicle

The follicle is a dry, dehiscent fruit.
The follicle opens only along one side
when it discharges its seeds at maturity.


Pod

  The pod is a dry, dehiscent fruit.
The pod opens along two sides when
it discharges its seed at maturity.


Schizocarp

 The schizocarp is a dry, dehiscent fruit.
The schizocarp splits into halves when
it discharges its seeds at maturity.


Silique

 The silique is a dry, dehiscent fruit.
The silique opens with the two walls
of the fruit separate and hanging
freely from the top.
