MONTESSORI BIOLOGY : Phylum Euglenophyta

KINGDOM PROTOCTISTA

Phylum Euglenophyta

  Euglenophyta are mostly single-cell
organisms. Euglenophyta move and
feed by use of a single, hairy flagellum.
Euglenophyta can move by the use of the
flagellum and can feed on dissolved food.

Some euglenophyta contain chloroplasts
and can photosynthesize using water,
sunlight, oxygen, and carbondioxide.
The euglenophyta lack the rigid cell walls
 of plants. Euglenophyta reproduce
by cell division lengthwise.
