Mantle
The inner part of the earth which lies
between the crust and the core is called
the mantle. It is layered according to its
density, into the solid Upper Mantle,
the semi-liquid Asthenosphere,
and the solid Lower Mantle.
Core
The innermost part of the earth is called
the core. It is surrounded by the mantle
and composed of a solid inner core,
and a molten exterior core.
