Sweet Woodruff
Sweet Woodruff is a low, spreading,
perennial plant that forms clumps about
eight inches in height. The slender leaves
are borne in starry whorls. The flowers are
tiny and white and form in loose clusters.
When the plant is crushed, it has a sweet
scent similar to freshly mown hay and
vanilla. Sweet woodruff is most
often used in flavoring drinks.
